Take the to make the time ...

How often do we say
I just don't have the time!
WHY?

We do have cars, washing machines, phone, tvs, radios,
every kind of cleaning device imaginable ...
scheduling is hectic...yes it can be ...
But wait
(as those commercials tell us)

you are the captain of our household ship.
Do you realize what that really does mean?

Here are more marvelous Civil War reproductions quilt blocks
 (imagine the days those quilters lived in and through)

Take the time to make the time
~~~ It is YOUR life   ~~~
You will never pass this way again :)
Barbara Brackman's Material Culture blog has GLORIOUS ideas
When you say antique look quilts
and information
just say
~~~ BARBARA BRACKMAN ~~~
Barbara is such a wealth of information, photos and ideas.  She also is an author, designer and also designs fabrics for MODA
Right now, she is showing different "Civil War" blocks.  After all it is the 150th year anniversary of the end of the terrible war.
Some ladies have sewn her patterns, and here are some of my favorites.

Notice a few have the same fabric selection - the maker is making she uses only those fabric apparently.
AND
There are more to come

You see all of the fussy cuts?
I have some of these same fabrics...never saw these ideas in them
This is exactly why I so enjoy looking
at GOOD antique reproduction blocks as well as originals

For the love of antique quilt!

When I got bit by the antique Quilt bug
had to give in
HAPPILY!

As a quilter myself I can see the charm, workmanship and love put into these beauties
Let me share a few here:
